The Picture Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE AGHG AIDI

Here is a sea legged sailorA
Come to this tottering InnB
Just when the bronze on its signboard is fadingC
And the black shades of evening beginB
-
With his head on thick paws sleeps a sheep dogD
There stoops the Shepherd and seeE
All follow my leader the ducks waddle homewardF
Under the sycamore treeE
-
Very brown is the face of the SailorA
His bundle is crimson and greenG
Are the thick leafy boughs that hang dense o'er the TavernH
And blue the far meadows betweenG
-
But the Crust Ale and Cheese of the SailorA
His Mug and his platter of DelfI
And the crescent to light home the Shepherd and Sheep dogD
The painter has kept to himselfI
