Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGF HIJI KLML NOPQ RSTS RRU

The light of dawn rose on my dreamsA
And from afar I seemed to hearB
In sleep the mellow blackbird callC
Hollow and sweet and clearD
-
I prythee Nurse my casement openE
Wildly the garden peals with singingF
And hooting through the dewy pinesG
The goblins all are wingingF
-
O listen the droning of the beesH
That in the roses take delightI
And see a cloud stays in the blueJ
Like an angel still and brightI
-
The gentle sky is spread like silkK
And Nurse the moon doth languish thereL
As if it were a perfect jewelM
In the morning's soft spun hairL
-
The greyness of the distant hillsN
Is silvered in the lucid EastO
See now the sheeny plum d cockP
Wags haughtily his crestQ
-
'O come you out O come you outR
Lily and lavender and limeS
The kingcup swings his golden bellT
And plumpy cherries drum the timeS
-
'O come you out O come you outR
Roses and dew and mignonetteR
The sun is in the steep blue skyU
Sweetly the morning star is set '-
