Sunk Lyonesse Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABAAAA ACDCEFGFHIJI

In sea cold LyonesseA
When the Sabbath eve shafts downB
On the roofs walls belfriesA
Of the foundered townB
The Nereids pluck their lyresA
Where the green translucency beatsA
And with motionless eyes at gazeA
Make ministrely in the streetsA
-
And the ocean water stirsA
In salt worn casement and porchC
Plies the blunt nosed fishD
With fire in his skull for torchC
And the ringing wires resoundE
And the unearthly lovely weepF
In lament of the music they makeG
In the sullen courts of sleepF
Whose marble flowers bloom for ayeH
And lapped by the moon guiled tideI
Mock their carver with heart of stoneJ
Caged in his stone ribbed sideI
