Sooeep' Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKL

Black as a chimney is his faceA
And ivory white his teethB
And in his brass bound cart he ridesC
The chestnut blooms beneathB
-
'Sooeep Sooeep ' he cries and brightly peersD
This way and that to seeE
With his two light blue shining eyesF
What custom there may beE
-
And once inside the house he'll squatG
And drive his rods on highH
Till twirls his sudden sooty brushI
Against the morning skyH
-
Then 'mid his bulging bags of sootJ
With half the world asleepK
His small cart wheels him off againL
Still hoarsely bawling 'Sooeep '-
