Sleep Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFG HIJI KLML

When all and birds and creeping beastsA
When the dark of night is deepB
From the moving wonder of their livesC
Commit themselves to sleepB
-
Without a thought or fear they shutD
The narrow gates of senseE
Heedless and quiet in slumber turnF
Their strength to impotenceG
-
The transient strangeness of the earthH
Their spirits no more seeI
Within a silent gloom withdrawnJ
They slumber in secrecyI
-
Two worlds they have a globe forgotK
Wheeling from dark to lightL
And all the enchanted realm of dreamM
That burgeons out of nightL
