Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE FGHIJKJK LBLBMNON

Rest rest there is no restA
Until the quiet graveB
Comes with its narrow archC
The heart to saveB
From life's long cankering rustD
From torpor cold and stillE
The loveless saddened dustD
The jaded willE
-
And yet be far the hourF
Whose haven calls me homeG
Long be the arduous dayH
Till evening comeI
What sureness now remainsJ
But that through livelong strifeK
Only the loser gainsJ
An end to lifeK
-
Then in the soundless deepL
Of even the shallowest graveB
Childhood and love he'll keepL
And his soul saveB
All vext desire all vainM
Cries of a conflict doneN
Fallen to rest againO
Death's refuge wonN
