As I Was Walking Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDFGHGAIJIKLCL MNKNOPKP

As I was walkingA
Thyme sweet to my noseB
Green grasshoppers talkingA
Rose rivalling roseB
And wing like amberC
Dispread in lightD
As from bush to bushE
Linnet took flightD
Master Rabbit I sawF
In the shadow rimmed mouthG
Of his sandy cavernH
Looking out to the SouthG
'Twas dew tide comingA
The turf was sweetI
To nostril curved toothJ
And wool soft feetI
Sun was in WestK
Crystal in beamL
Of its golden showerC
Did his round eye gleamL
Lank human was IM
And a foe poor soulN
Snowy flit of a scutK
He was into his holeN
And stamp stamp stampO
Through dim labyrinths clearP
The whole world darkenedK
A murderer nearP
