Unto This Last Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBCDEEED FCCCF

They brought my fair love out upon a bierA
Out from the dwelling that her smile made sweetB
Out from the life that her life made completeB
Into the glitter of the garish streetB
And no man wept save I for that dead dearC
And then the dark procession wound alongD
Like a black serpent with a snow white birdE
Held in its fangs I think God said a wordE
To death as He in His chill heaven heardE
Her voice so sweeter than His seraph s songD
-
And so Death took away her flower sweet breathF
One darkest day of days in a dark yearC
And brought to that strong God who had no fearC
My own dear love Ah closed eyes without peerC
Ah red lips pressed on the blue lips of DeathF
