Neæra's Wreath Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

Ne ra crowns me with a purple wreathA
That she with her own dainty hands did twineB
Gold hearted blossoms and blue buds in sheathA
Mingled with veined green leaves of the wild vineB
-
Then bending down her bright head ah too nighC
She asks me for a song the daylight diesD
The song is still unwritten still I lieC
Watching the purple twilight of her eyesD
-
I am her laureate therefore heart of graceE
I take to kiss her Where was song like thisF
Love is best sung of in a loveless placeE
For who would care to sing where he might kissF
