Too Heavy To Hold Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGHH

The world spins fast I stand so stillA
A fragile heart a broken willA
The tasks pile high beyond my reachB
Each wave a lesson I cannot teachB
-
My hands feel empty my voice too smallC
I stumble I falter I drop it allC
The strength I seek is nowhere nearD
Just echoes loud of doubt and fearD
-
I watch the sky but clouds don t partE
A heavy chain wraps round my heartE
I whisper prayers they fade awayF
No guiding light no break of dayF
-
Yet in this hush though weak I seemG
A spark still hides beneath the streamG
Helpless now but not erasedH
A seed of hope waits to be embracedH
