The Blame They Gave Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGHH

They twist your truth they steal your lightA
And make your wrongs seem somehow rightA
Their gentle words a sharpened bladeB
You bleed beneath the smile they madeB
-
They call your pain a foolish showC
And teach you shame you shouldn t knowC
You wear their guilt you bear their crimeD
Their cruelty masked as love in timeD
-
But one day dawn will break the spellE
You ll rise from their constructed hellE
The fault was theirs not yours to ownF
You ll stand again complete aloneF
-
So guard your heart let healing startG
No lie can cage a mended heartG
For truth will bloom where scars resideH
And peace will walk close by your sideH
