You opened doors with gentle hands,
A gift of trust, no harsh demands.
I took too much, I asked for more,
And left my thanks outside the door.
Your kindness shone, a steady flame,
Yet I repaid with thoughtless claim.
I see the hurt my silence made,
The debt of love I left unpaid.
So hear me now, my humbled plea,
Forgive the weight I placed on thee.
I never meant to bruise your grace,
Or carve regret upon your face.
Sorry for the times I stole,
The warmth you gave, the patient role.
I vow to honor, not misuse,
The gentle heart I once abused.
