| They say I wished for silence near | D |
| To turn from crowds to disappear | D |

| But if it were mine to bend to steer | D |
| I d cast away this heavy fear | D |
| I d trade the ache for gentle skies | E |
| And let the sun in my weary eyes | E |

| For none would choose a cage of stone | F |
| Or seek to suffer all alone | F |
| If only control were truly mine | G |
| I d paint my days with brighter lines | H |
