A Second Chance In The Rain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCC DEFF GGHH

From the very start dark clouds loomed aboveA
Storms and rains unending shadows I could not moveB
Yet one bright day I never thought I d seeC
The clouds would part and the sky turn blue for meC
-
Joy awakened hope began to riseD
I prayed that moment would never say goodbyeE
But fleeting was the light too fragile to remainF
The storm returned with endless pouring rainF
-
Now the flood surrounds I feel I cannot standG
Drowning in the weight of what I cannot commandG
Still I whisper softly through the tempest s roarH
Grant me one more chance to reach the distant shoreH
