You Say, Columbus With His Argosies Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACBADEDEDE

You say Columbus with his argosiesA
Who rash and greedy took the screaming mainB
And vanished out before the hurricaneB
Into the sunset after merchandiseA
Then under western palms with simple eyesA
Trafficked and robbed and triumphed home againC
You say this is the glory of the brainB
And human life no other use than thisA
I then do answering say to you The lineD
Of wizards and of saviours keeping trustE
In that which made them pensive and divineD
Passes before us like a cloud of dustE
What were they Actors ill and mad with wineD
And all their language babble and disgustE
