Loneliness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABAC DEFDF GHIHI JJKJL

These autumn gardens russet gray and brownA
The sward with shrivelled foliage strownA
The shrubs and treesB
By weary wings of sunshine overflownA
And timid silencesC
-
Since first you darling called my spirit yoursD
Seem happy and the gladness poursE
From day to dayF
And yester year across this year enduresD
Unto next year awayF
-
Now in these places where I used to roveG
And give the dropping leaves my loveH
And weep to themI
They seem to fall divinely from aboveH
Like to a diademI
-
Closing in one with the disheartened flowersJ
High up the migrant birds in showersJ
Shine in the skyK
And all the movement of the natural hoursJ
Turns into melodyL
