Leave Him Now Quiet By The Way Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACC DEEFGG HIIJKL

Leave him now quiet by the wayA
To rest apartB
I know what draws him to the dust alwayA
And churns him in the builder's limeC
He has the fright of timeC
-
I heard it knocking in his breastD
A minute sinceE
His human eyes did winceE
He stubborned like the massive slaughter beastF
And as a thing o'erwhelmed with soundG
Stood bolted to the groundG
-
Leave him for rest alone can cureH
If cure there beI
This waif upon the seaI
He is of those who slanted the great doorJ
And listened wretched little ladK
To what they saidL
