Don't Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFG

Don't tell me about loveA
if you're going to gaze into my eyes with uncertaintyB
Don't whisper to me about love at first sightC
if you're going to fill my ears with every inch of deceitD
Don't crowd my nostrils with the scent of your perfumeE
if you're going to let it combine with her fragranceF
And don't seal my lips with a Judas' kiss if you're going to snog her everytime I'm not lookingG

Poet's note: This poem is about an insecure young woman who pleas to the man that wants to be in a relationship with her. She has been through a lot in her past relationships and is not ready to go through all that again. She has insecurities when it comes to relationships and seems to be the jealous type. This poem is meant to express feelings of empathy, envy, love. I write this poem for all the girls out there who want to be loved and not lied to.
