| the journey began a long long time ago | B |
| lack of perseverance made it seem as though it's infinite | C |

| a journey of just years now a journey approaching years | D |
| the path's full of thorns gallops potholes | E |
| they had journeyed for a very long time | F |
| up till now | G |
| with no hope of seeing light at the end of the tunnel | H |

| trampling day and night no shelter no food no water | I |
| for years | D |
| at times the harsh wind blew by and took the little they had | J |
| leaving them with nothing | K |

| once in a blue moon it rained | L |
| they'd fill up their vessels with water | I |
| but that's not all | M |
| it didn't just rain hailstones fell from the sky and hit them | N |

| no coats to ease them of the cold | O |
| no umbrella to shield against the falling hailstones | P |
| the thunder stroke also | B |
| it wasn't an easy journey indeed | Q |

| pausing for a while was done at a great risk | R |
| the hungry reptiles had catch up with then anytime soon | S |
| some even crawled bruising their knees | T |

| the old ones couldn't help but increase their pace a bit | U |
| it was a survival of the fittest journey | V |
| the weak ones were left out | W |
| vultures fed on their remains | X |

| generations begat generations | Y |
| still on the journey to freedom | Z |
| they had no idea as to how close they are to their destination | A2 |

| they couldn't help but knit a clothes out of the thorns that grew on both sides of their paths | B2 |
