Only she could enfold me in her warmth | I |
At the sound of every thunder strike during rainy season | J |
Only she gave her life | K |
That her seeds survive the Ajayi crisis in Nasarawa state | L |
Only mom was there running from the farm to home | M |
To hide us in the bush when the crisis started | N |
After which she left amidst the gun shots | O |
To get some eggs and floor | P |
To prepare what to eat in the bush | Q |
Before we headed for makurdi | N |

In makurdi we landed in Uncle's house in yagba | R |
And it was challenging for a physically challenged child | N |
And a village boy coming to the city at same time | S |
Yet she believed I can make it | N |
By making sure I attend classes daily | T |
Although I didn't like school | U |

I think in my dad finally appeared | N |
And the truth is | W |
I didn't like him | X |
Because in our first encounter I felt he didn't like me too | N |
Because as a last born | Y |
I expected to be treated like one | J |
Especially from a father I longed for his love | Z |
But it was the opposite | N |
With him giving me an uninterested look | A2 |

I felt like nothing happened | N |

In the way I placed him in my heart | N |
