The Eagle Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCCD DAEEB

They have him in a cageA
And little children runB
To offer him well meant bits of bunB
And very common people say My wordC
Ain't he a 'orrible birdC
And the smart How absurdC
Poor captive draggled downcast lord of the airD
-
Steadfast in his despairD
He doth not rageA
But with unconquerable eyeE
And soul aflame to flyE
Considereth the sunB
