She Scanned The Record Of Beethoven's Thought Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDFFFFFGG

She scanned the record of Beethoven's thoughtA
And made the dumb chords speak both clear and lowB
And spread the dead man's voice till I was caughtC
Away and now seemed long and long agoB
Methought in Tellus' bosom still I layD
While centuries like steeds tramped overheadE
To the wild rhythms that by night and dayD
From nature and man's passions still are madeF
The music of their motion as they prancedF
Lulled me to flawless ease as of a GodF
Never upon me pain or pleasure chancedF
Unknown the dew of bliss or fate's hard rodF
Thus dreamed I But I know our mother EarthG
Waits to give back the peace she reft at birthG
