He Comes To Me Like Air On Parching Grass Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCBCCDCDEE

He comes to me like air on parching grassA
His eyes are wells where truth lives found at lastB
Summer is fragrant should he this way passA
His calm love is a chain that binds me fastB
Yet often melancholy will forecastB
That time when I shall have grown old when heC
Still rapturous in his struggle with life's blastB
Shall give a pitying side glance to meC
Who skirt the fog fringe of eternityC
Straining mine eyes to catch what shadowy signD
Of good or evil omen there may beC
Yet no sure good nor evil can divineD
Only some hints of doubtful sound and lightE
That lonelier leave the uncompanioned nightE
