Et In Arcadia Ego … Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBCBBDBBECEC

What traveller soever wander hereA
In quest of peace and what is best of pleasureB
Let not his hope be overcast and drearB
Because I Death am here to fix the measureB
Of life even in blameless ArcadyC
Bay laurel myrtle ivy never sereB
And fields flower decorated all the yearB
And streams that carry secrets to the seaD
And hills that hold back something evermoreB
Though wild their speech with clouds in thunder roarB
Yea every sylvan sight and peaceful toneE
Are thine to give thy days their purer zestC
Let not the legend grieve thee on this stoneE
I Death am here What then My name is RestC
