Rhyme Scheme: ABAACDEADEFGHGGIGIJA JAAKAK

Thou Gaudy Idle world adieuA
all thy tinsell JoysB
I lovd thee dearly once tis trueA
But since a better choice I knewA
Ive made that better choiceC
My wishes mount above the skyD
Upon the wings of faithE
My soul shall follow when I dyA
For much I doubt if bodys flyD
What ever Asgill saithE
All things are fickle here belowF
How ere above they beG
If I had not left thee nowH
Thy pleasures had left meG
Count but the changes MemoryG
Which your short time has knownI
This is the third King which you seeG
Upon the English throneI
The Irish who by Williams reignJ
Were run so much agroundA
Do by the Trust confound it GainJ
three hundred thousand poundA
My acquaintance wonder notA
When you my change discoverK
Ev'n Methwin has a prayr book boughtA
'Gainst Rochester comes overK
