Love In Disguise Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEFGGHICJKLMMNN OOPP

To stifle Passion is no easy ThingA
A Heart in Love is always on the WingA
The bold Betrayer flutters stillB
And fans the Breath prepar'd to tellC
It melts the Tongue and tunes the ThroatD
And moves the Lips to form the NoteD
And when the Speech is lostE
It then sends out its GhostF
A little SighG
To say we dyeG
'Tis strange the Air that Cools a Flame shou'd proveH
But wonder not it is the Air of LoveI
Yet Chloris I can make my Love look wellC
And cover bleeding Wounds I can't concealJ
My Words such artful Accents breakK
You think I rather act than speakL
My Sighs enliven'd thro' a SmileM
Your unsuspecting Thoughts beguileM
My Eyes are vary'd soN
You can't their Wishes knowN
And I'm so gayO
You think I playO
Happy Contrivance such as can't be priz'dP
To Live in Love and yet to Live disguis'dP
