A Hymn For Noon Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGGHHAAII EEDDJJIKLLMMNNDDOPQQ

The sun is swiftly mounted highA
It glitters in the southern skyA
Its beams with force and glory beatB
And fruitful earth is fill'd with heatB
Father also with Thy fireC
Warm the cold the dead desireC
And make the sacred love of TheeD
Within my soul a sun to meD
Let it shine so fairly brightE
That nothing else be took for lightE
That worldly charms be seen to fadeF
And in its lustre find a shadeF
Let it strongly shine withinG
To scatter all the clouds of sinG
That drive when gusts of passion riseH
And intercept it from our eyesH
Let its glory more than vieA
With the sun that lights the skyA
Let it swiftly mount in airI
Mount with that and leave it thereI
And soar with more aspiring flightE
To realms of everlasting lightE
Thus while here I'm forc'd to beD
I daily wish to live with TheeD
And feel that union which Thy loveJ
Will after death complete aboveJ
From my soul I send my prayerI
Great creator bow Thine earK
Thou for whose propitious swayL
The world was taught to see the dayL
Who spake the word and earth begunM
And show'd its beauties in the sunM
With pleasure I Thy creatures viewN
And would with good affection tooN
Good affection sweetly freeD
Loose from them and move to TheeD
O teach me due returns to giveO
And to Thy glory let me liveP
And then my days shall shine the moreQ
Or pass more blessed than beforeQ
