To .......'s Picture Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEFE GHGH IJIJ

Go then if she whose shade thou artA
No more will let thee soothe my painB
Yet tell her it has cost this heartA
Some pangs to give thee back againC
-
Tell her the smile was not so dearD
With which she made the semblance mineE
As bitter is the burning tearF
With which I now the gift resignE
-
Yet go and could she still restoreG
As some exchange for taking theeH
The tranquil look which first I woreG
When her eyes found me calm and freeH
-
Could she give back the careless flowI
The spirit that my heart then knewJ
Yet no 'tis vain go picture goI
Smile at me once and then adieuJ
