The Legend Of Puck The Fairy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBAAA CCDDE FFGGE HHIIE

Wouldst know what tricks by the pale moonlightA
Are played by me the merry little SpriteA
Who wing thro' air from the camp to the courtB
From king to clown and of all make sportB
Singing I am the SpriteA
Of the merry midnightA
Who laugh at weak mortals and love the moonlightA
-
To a miser's bed where he snoring sleptC
And dreamt of his cash I slyly creptC
Chink chink o'er his pillow like money I rangD
And he waked to catch but away I sprangD
Singing I am the Sprite etcE
-
I saw thro' the leaves in a damsel's bowerF
She was waiting her love at that starlight hourF
Hist hist quoth I with an amorous sighG
And she flew to the door but away flew IG
Singing I am the Sprite etcE
-
While a bard sat inditing an ode to his loveH
Like a pair of blue meteors I stared from aboveH
And he swooned for he thought 'twas the ghost poor manI
Of his lady's eyes while away I ranI
Singing I am the Sprite etcE
