The Language Of Flowers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCBCB DBDBEFEF AGAGHIHI

Fly swift my light gazelleA
To her who now lies wakingB
To hear thy silver bellA
The midnight silence breakingB
And when thou com'st with gladsome feetC
Beneath her lattice springingB
Ah well she'll know how sweetC
The words of love thou'rt bringingB
-
Yet no not words for theyD
But half can tell love's feelingB
Sweet flowers alone can sayD
What passion fears revealingB
A once bright rose's withered leafE
A towering lily brokenF
Oh these may paint a griefE
No words could e'er have spokenF
-
Not such my gay gazelleA
The wreath thou speedest overG
Yon moonlight dale to tellA
My lady how I love herG
And what to her will sweeter beH
Than gems the richest rarestI
From Truth's immortal treeH
One fadeless leaf thou bearestI
