Swiss Air.--"ranz Des Vaches." Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCBDEFGGF

But wake the trumpet's blast againA
And rouse the ranks of warrior menA
Oh War when Truth thy arm employsB
And Freedom's spirit guides the laboring stormC
'Tis then thy vengeance takes a hallowed formC
And like Heaven's lightning sacredly destroysB
Nor Music thro' thy breathing sphereD
Lives there a sound more grateful to the earE
Of Him who made all harmonyF
Than the blest sound of fetters breakingG
And the first hymn that man awakingG
From Slavery's slumber breathes to LibertyF
