Sound the loud Timbrel o'er Egypt's dark seaC
JEHOVAH has triumphed his people are freeC
Sing for the pride of the Tyrant is brokenD
His chariots his horsemen all splendid and braveB
How vain was their boast for the LORD hath but spokenD
And chariots and horsemen are sunk in the waveB
Sound the loud Timbrel o'er Egypt's dark seaC
JEHOVAH has triumphed his people are freeC

Praise to the Conqueror praise to the LORDE
His word was our arrow his breath was our swordE
Who shall return to tell Egypt the storyC
Of those she sent forth in the hour of her prideF
For the LORD hath looked out from his pillar of gloryC
And all her brave thousands are dashed in the tideF
Sound the loud Timbrel o'er Egypt's dark seaC
JEHOVAH has triumphed his people are freeC
