Say, What Shall We Dance? Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACCDEE FGHIJJKLKLMMA

Say what shall we danceA
Shall we bound along the moonlight plainB
To music of Italy Greece or SpainB
Say what shall we danceA
Shall we like those who roveC
Thro' bright Grenada's groveC
To the light Bolero's measures moveD
Or choose the Guaracia's languishing layE
And thus to its sound die awayE
-
Strike the gay chordsF
Let us hear each strain from every shoreG
That music haunts or young feet wander o'erH
Hark 'tis the light march to whose measured timeI
The Polish lady by her lover ledJ
Delights thro' gay saloons with step untried to treadJ
Or sweeter still thro' moonlight walksK
Whose shadows serve to hideL
The blush that's raised by who talksK
Of love the while by her sideL
Then comes the smooth waltz to whose floating soundM
Like dreams we go gliding aroundM
Say which shall we dance which shall we danceA
