Quantum Est Quod Desit Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCB DDBE B FFBGHB

'Twas a new feeling something moreA
Than we had dar'd to own beforeA
Which then we hid notB
We saw it in each other's eyeC
And wish'd in every broken sighC
To speak but did notB
-
She felt my lips' impassion'd touchD
'Twas the first time I dar'd so muchD
And yet she chid notB
But whisper'd o'er my burning browE
'Oh do you doubt I love you now '-
Sweet soul I did notB
-
Warmly I felt her bosom thrillF
I prest it closer closer stillF
Though gently bid notB
Till oh the world hath seldom heardG
Of lovers who so nearly err'dH
And yet who did notB
