On The Death Of A Lady, Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHIH

Sweet spirit if thy airy sleepA
Nor sees my tears not hears my sighsB
Then will I weep in anguish weepA
Till the last heart's drop fills mine eyesB
-
But if thy sainted soul can feelC
And mingles in our miseryD
Then then my breaking heart I'll sealC
Thou shalt not hear one sigh from meD
-
The beam of morn was on the streamE
But sullen clouds the day deformF
Like thee was that young orient beamE
Like death alas that sullen stormF
-
Thou wert not formed for living hereG
So linked thy soul was with the skyH
Yet ah we held thee all so dearI
We thought thou wert not formed to dieH
