Oh! Arranmore, Loved Arranmore Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEGHIHI JKJKLMLM

Oh Arranmore loved ArranmoreA
How oft I dream of theeB
And of those days when by thy shoreA
I wander'd young and freeB
Full many a path I've tried since thenC
Through pleasure's flowery mazeD
But ne'er could find the bliss againC
I felt in those sweet daysD
-
How blithe upon thy breezy cliffsE
At sunny morn I've stoodF
With heart as bounding as the skiffsE
That danced along thy floodG
Or when the western wave grew brightH
With daylight's parting wingI
Have sought that Eden in its lightH
Which dreaming poets singI
-
That Eden where the immortal braveJ
Dwell in a land sereneK
Whose bowers beyond the shining waveJ
At sunset oft are seenK
Ah dream too full of saddening truthL
Those mansions o'er the mainM
Are like the hopes I built in youthL
As sunny and as vainM
