Rhyme Scheme: A BBCCDDEEFFGGHHFF

Armed with hyacinthine rodB
Arms enough for such a godB
Cupid bade me wing my paceC
And try with him the rapid raceC
O'er many a torrent wild and deepD
By tangled brake and pendent steepD
With weary foot I panting flewE
Till my brow dropt with chilly dewE
And now my soul exhausted dyingF
To my lip was faintly flyingF
And now I thought the spark had fledG
When Cupid hovered o'er my headG
And fanning light his breezy pinionH
Rescued my soul from death's dominionH
Then said in accents half reprovingF
Why hast thou been a foe to lovingF
