Behold the young the rosy SpringB
Gives to the breeze her scented wingB
While virgin Graces warm with MayC
Fling roses o'er her dewy wayC
The murmuring billows of the deepD
Have languished into silent sleepD
And mark the flitting sea birds laveE
Their plumes in the reflecting waveE
While cranes from hoary winter flyF
To flutter in a kinder skyF
Now the genial star of dayC
Dissolves the murky clouds awayC
And cultured field and winding streamG
Are freshly glittering in his beamG
-
Now the earth prolific swellsH
With leafy buds and flowery bellsH
Gemming shoots the olive twineI
Clusters ripe festoon the vineI
All along the branches creepingB
Through the velvet foliage peepingB
Little infant fruits we seeJ
Nursing into luxuryJ
