As late I sought the spangled bowersB
To cull a wreath of matin flowersB
Where many an early rose was weepingC
I found the urchin Cupid sleepingC
I caught the boy a goblet's tideD
Was richly mantling by my sideD
I caught him by his downy wingC
And whelmed him in the racy springC
Then drank I down the poisoned bowlE
And love now nestles in my soulE
Oh yes my soul is Cupid's nestF
I feel him fluttering in my breastF
