Odes Of Anacreon - Ode Lvi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEFGGHH IIJJKKLLMMKK

He who instructs the youthful crewA
To bathe them in the brimmer's dewA
And taste uncloyed by rich excessesB
All the bliss that wine possessesC
He who inspires the youth to boundD
Elastic through the dance's roundD
Bacchus the god again is hereE
And leads along the blushing yearF
The blushing year with vintage teemsG
Ready to shed those cordial streamsG
Which sparkling in the cup of mirthH
Illuminate the sons of earthH
-
Then when the ripe and vermil wineI
Blest infant of the pregnant vineI
Which now in mellow clusters swellsJ
Oh when it bursts its roseate cellsJ
Brightly the joyous stream shall flowK
To balsam every mortal woeK
None shall be then cast down or weakL
For health and joy shall light each cheekL
No heart will then desponding sighM
For wine shall bid despondence flyM
Thus till another autumn's glowK
Shall bid another vintage flowK
