Rhyme Scheme: A BBCCDDEEFF GGCCHHGG

-
Away away ye men of rulesB
What have I do with schoolsB
They'd make me learn they'd make me thinkC
But would they make me love and drinkC
Teach me this and let me swimD
My soul upon the goblet's brimD
Teach me this and let me twineE
Some fond responsive heart to mineE
For age begins to blanch my browF
I've time for naught but pleasure nowF
-
Fly and cool my goblet's glowG
At yonder fountain's gelid flowG
I'll quaff my boy and calmly sinkC
This soul to slumber as I drinkC
Soon too soon my jocund slaveH
You'll deck your master's grassy graveH
And there's an end for ah you knowG
They drink but little wine belowG
