Lusitanian War-song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBACCCA ACCCACCCA

The song of war shall echo thro' our mountainsA
Till not one hateful link remainsB
Of slavery's lingering chainsB
Till not one tyrant tread our plainsB
Nor traitor lip pollute our fountainsA
No never till that glorious dayC
Shall Lusitania's sons be gayC
Or hear oh Peace thy welcome layC
Resounding thro' her sunny mountainsA
-
The song of war shall echo thro' our mountainsA
Till Victory's self shall smiling sayC
Your cloud of foes hath past awayC
And Freedom comes with new born rayC
To gild your vines and light your fountainsA
Oh never till that glorious dayC
Shall Lusitania's sons be gayC
Or hear sweet Peace thy welcome layC
Resounding thro' her sunny mountainsA
