Love Alone Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CDBB EEBB

If thou wouldst have thy charms enchant our eyesA
First win our hearts for there thy empire liesA
Beauty in vain would mount a heartless throneB
Her Right Divine is given by Love aloneB
-
What would the rose with all her pride be worthC
Were there no sun to call her brightness forthD
Maidens unloved like flowers in darkness thrownB
Wait but that light which comes from Love aloneB
-
Fair as thy charms in yonder glass appearE
Trust not their bloom they'll fade from year to yearE
Wouldst thou they still should shine as first they shoneB
Go fix thy mirror in Love's eyes aloneB
