Imitation. From The French Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCD CD

With women and apples both Paris and AdamA
Made mischief enough in their dayB
God be praised that the fate of mankind my dear MadamA
Depends not on us the same wayB
For weak as I am with temptation to grappleC
The world would have doubly to rue theeD
-
Like Adam I'd gladly take from thee the appleC
Like Paris at once give it to theeD
