Her Last Words, At Parting. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFGFCDCD

Her last words at parting how can I forgetA
Deep treasured thro' life in my heart they shall stayB
Like music whose charm in the soul lingers yetA
When its sounds from the ear have long melted awayB
Let Fortune assail me her threatenings are vainC
Those still breathing words shall my talisman beD
Remember in absence in sorrow and painC
There's one heart unchanging that beats but for theeD
-
From the desert's sweet well tho' the pilgrim must hieE
Never more of that fresh springing fountain to tasteF
He hath still of its bright drops a treasured supplyG
Whose sweetness lends life to his lips thro' the wasteF
So dark as my fate is still doomed to remainC
These words shall my well in the wilderness beD
Remember in absence in sorrow and painC
There's one heart unchanging that beats but for theeD
