Go, Then--'tis Vain. (sicilian Air.) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCCC DBDBAEAE

Go then 'tis vain to hoverA
Thus round a hope that's deadB
At length my dream is overA
'Twas sweet 'twas false 'tis fledB
Farewell since naught it moves theeC
Such truth as mine to seeC
Some one who far less loves theeC
Perhaps more blest will beC
-
Farewell sweet eyes whose brightnessD
New life around me shedB
Farewell false heart whose lightnessD
Now leaves me death insteadB
Go now those charms surrenderA
To some new lover's sighE
One who tho' far less tenderA
May be more blest than IE
