Dost Thou Remember. (portuguese Air.) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABAABCC DDEAAEAA

Dost thou remember that place so lonelyA
A place for lovers and lovers onlyA
Where first I told thee all my secret sighsB
When as the moonbeam that trembled o'er theeA
Illumed thy blushes I knelt before theeA
And read my hope's sweet triumph in those eyesB
Then then while closely heart was drawn to heartC
Love bound us never never more to partC
-
And when I called thee by names the dearestD
That love could fancy the fondest nearestD
My life my only life among the restE
In those sweet accents that still enthral meA
Thou saidst Ah wherefore thy life thus call meA
Thy soul thy soul's the name I love bestE
For life soon passes but how blest to beA
That Soul which never never parts from theeA
