Come, Chase That Starting Tear Away. (french Air.) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDE FGFGHIHIE

Come chase that starting tear awayA
Ere mine to meet it springsB
To night at least to night be gayA
Whate'er to morrow bringsB
Like sunset gleams that linger lateC
When all is darkening fastD
Are hours like these we snatch from FateC
The brightest and the lastD
Then chase that starting tear etcE
-
To gild the deepening gloom if HeavenF
But one bright hour allowG
Oh think that one bright hour is givenF
In all its splendor nowG
Let's live it out then sink in nightH
Like waves that from the shoreI
One minute swell are touched with lightH
Then lost for evermoreI
Come chase that starting tear etcE
