As Down In The Sunless Retreats. (air.--haydn.) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBB CBCBBB

As down in the sunless retreats of the OceanA
Sweet flowers are springing no mortal can seeB
So deep in my soul the still prayer of devotionA
Unheard by the world rises silent to TheeB
My God silent to TheeB
Pure warm silent to TheeB
-
As still to the star of its worship tho' cloudedC
The needle points faithfully o'er the dim seaB
So dark as I roam in this wintry world shroudedC
The hope of my spirit turns trembling to TheeB
My GOD trembling to TheeB
True fond trembling to TheeB
