Rhyme Scheme: A BCBDCEED FGFHGIIH

-
We sat at the window looking outB
And the rain came down like silken stringsC
That Swithin's day Each gutter and spoutB
Babbled unchecked in the busy wayD
Of witless thingsC
Nothing to read nothing to seeE
Seemed in that room for her and meE
On Swithin's dayD
-
We were irked by the scene by our own selves yesF
For I did not know nor did she inferG
How much there was to read and guessF
By her in me and to see and crownH
By me in herG
Wasted were two souls in their primeI
And great was the waste that July timeI
When the rain came downH
